Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas time is one of our most favorite times of the year. Dallas starts counting down the day after christmas and I always get an update through out the year. I love the decorations, the festivities, the lights, the spirit it brings, traditions, family time, the joy in the kids eyes as they open presents or see Santa. I could go on but I will stop there. It is a very fun time of the year and I hope it brings as much joy to everyone else as it does to ours. However I must say adding kids to the mix makes it 10 times more enjoyable. Even though Cohen may not have fully understood it this year it still was a blast to watch him come out and see all of his presents.
I need to start with earlier this week though. We finished Dallas' birthday and the next night we had a family party on my mom's parents side of the family. We treked up to Salt Lake and had a fun time getting together with family that we don't see very much and seeing how much all of the great grand kids had grown. We had dinner, heard the story of the nativity and then played white elephant like we always do. Dallas got the scottie dog that is a cookie jar who really isn't the most attractive thing you have seen, which is probably why it comes back every year. We are planning to put something in it that is really cool next year so trust me people you are going to want that Scottie Dog!!!

Christmas Eve we went to my mom's house where both my brothers came. We had a nice turkey and ham dinner there. My mom read the kids a christmas book and we opened some more presents. Cohen is starting to get to the the age where if someone takes something away from him he starts to cry and get upset so there is a funny picture of that. We had a very nice time there and thanks to everyone for making it so fun.

We came home and started putting some of Cohen's toys together and Dallas had to finish wrapping some presents because he is not as on top of things as I am! :) We got everything put together and we were so excited for Cohen to wake up and find all his new toys. He had a garage set where the cars wind down a road, and he got a scooter and then Dallas' old match box cars and a mat to play on them with. Those were all set up for him and everything else was wrapped.

When morning came we got Cohen up and fed him breakfast in our room, both me and Cohen were held captive in there until Dallas' parents came down. As soon as they got there we came out, Cohen went straight for the match box cars and the mat and I saw the fireplace that we have been wanting forever. That was a nice surprise. Cohen then saw his scooter and he absolutely loved it and then he saw his garage set so from there on out he pretty much just bounced from toy to toy and every once in awhile opening a gift in between. We continued to open our present and had so much fun. Dallas really does spoil us! We had a great Christmas morning. Here are some pictures of what we got.

After we were done opening present and eating breakfast, we went up to Dallas' Grandma Frankies house where she has the whole family over for lunch. We all talked ate lunch and enjoyed watching the kids play with their new toys. Cohen got a remote control fourwheeler with a rider on it and I think the older guys were having just as much fun driving it then Cohen. He loves it though he had to hold it on the way home and he just had a tight grip on it as he fell asleep.
We then went to Dallas' Dad's house and had more Christmas there. Cohen had so much fun getting into his stocking and opening up more presents. We ate dinner there and played with his cousin Tristyn.
After our busy day we came home and tried to calm down a little. Once Cohen was asleep me and Dallas had to play his new game Blockus which is very fun. Well I hope everyone enjoyed my writing on our Christmas and I really hope everyone else had a fun Christmas! So Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

So much to say

It has been awhile since I have last blogged so I feel like there is just so much to say. December is a very busy month for us so sometimes it is hard for me to keep up! I will just give you a recap of the past few events. At the beginning of the month we went to the festival of trees, which I just think is an amazing event. I think it just gets you in that christmas mood which is wonderful, and I love the cause behind it! The trees are gorgeous, and the gingerbread houses are maginificent. All the time and dedication people put into these projects I think they are just amazing! So that was a fun way to start off the christmas season!

Then we celebrated our anniversary on the 14th, and we just went to a movie and dinner. We saw the movie Four Christmases and we loved it. We both come from divorced families so the movie was perfect for us. I think we laughed more than anyone else in the theater. Then we just missed Cohen too much so we went and picked him up and went to one of our favorite places up in Salt Lake, it's a little Italian restraunt called the Italian Village. They have amazing pizza benders that we just love. On the way home we stopped through Thanksgiving Point to look at the lights. It was a nice relaxing evening, and I just can't believe it's already been two years, time has sure flown by and we have just had so much fun and it feels like we just live life full speed but I wouldn't have it any other way. I just have to say how thankful I am for the man that I fell in love with and am still so very much in love with. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect friend, husband, or father. I look up to him in so many ways and he is definitely my biggest hero. He has taught me so much and I can't say enough about how lucky I am to have met him and how lucky I am that he loves me as much as I love him! I am always amazed that he chose me out of all the ladies in Orem! But he did and because of that I seriously feel like I have that fairy tale ending that I have always waited for and I'm so thrilled to spend forever with him!

Now moving on from all the mushiness. We celebrated Dallas' 28th birthday last night. I cooked his favorite meal which is chicken burrittos and we had a few friends over last night and just hung out. It was so fun because everyone brought their kids and let me just say I love kids they are so adorable and hilarious I could just squeeze them all so here are some pictures of last night. So because of this there are more pictures of the kids then really anyone else. It was so cute though because Cohen just held Olivia's hand and just walked her all around the house and gave her hugs and fishes. It was just love at first sight for those two! And honestly they looked so cute together!

Now for some random pictures and random stories. Cohen just crackes me up sometimes, we were over visiting a neighbor the other day and he was all bundled up and we get inside and he takes off his beanie and lifts up his foot so I can take off his boot and starts pulling apart his coat and then mine. I just love how they try to tell you things.
We are our wards nursery leaders and I just have to say they say the darnest things. One of our kids this past sunday was acting like a cat so she was licking the baby doll so one of the other girls goes into the toy box and pulls out a black baby doll and says here taste this chocolate one. Me and Dallas cracked up laughing so hard, kids really just say the darnest things and I am so glad we are there to experience it. I just love our little kids and almost wish I could stay with them all through out their classes.
Now here are pictures of Cohen just being silly Cohen, he loves to get into things and just loves the dishwasher and this time I wasn't so quick to get him out. Then hopefully I can get the video up of Cohen trying a sour skittle he makes the cutest faces. And we also have a video of him playing the piano and singing he just loves it. So hopefully you guys have enjoyed these!

We are an odd pair

So the other day me and Dallas went shopping and we each got a pair of jeans. So I was getting them out of the car last night and decided to try mine on, well while I was trying mine on I saw dal's and his size was only 3 sizes bigger than mine, and I was like that is messed up! I would like to be smaller then my husband preferably. Also when I was pregnant I would try on dal's pants and they were always too small which would make me so sad. Then I decided to try his on last night and sure enough they really werent too big, I suppose a little baggy but not huge. Then I went in and showed Dallas my new jeans and he about died he thought those were the pants that I had bought and a million things went through his head such as; did they give me the wrong pair, man her butt doesn't look good in those jeans like I had thought, we better take them back. But then I let him know that they were his jeans. But that gave me the idea that he should try on my jeans, me thinking that he really wouldn't be able to fit in mine, because these were fitted for me. So he tried on my jeans and they fit all but in one section. I died laughing, I can't believe my husband can fit in my jeans, I don't think we have ever laughed so hard. So I told him I just had to post these pics cause they are hilarious however I don't think he will be very happy but here you go! hope you enjoy and get a chuckle like I did!

Here are a few more pictures from this past week! We took our christmas tree out of the attic and Dallas put more lights up on it this year so it looks great. And this is my little helper that just has to do everything.
