Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone hope you had a good one! Cohen and Dallas had a good halloween. Cohen was Buzz Lightyear and Dallas was Woody. Last minute we figured out that Dallas should be Woody so he spent most of today going and getting stuff for his costume and he even sewed it and put it all together! What a talented husband I have! Because I probably wouldn't have known how to sew up a costume! I think I have two very handsome boys though! This year I stayed home since I got a cold this week, I decided it wouldn't be good for me to be out and walking around in the cold. So I'm a little bummed that I didn't get to see Cohen and action and I didn't get as many pictures. I sent the camera with Dallas but I guess they were too preoccupied Trick or Treating. Cohen has sure been excited to go Trick or Treating. All week long the disney channel has had halloween shows on about trick or treating so he has been practicing and did really good. Everytime the doorbell would ring he would run up there grab the candy and open the door and say trick or treat and then would give the kids candy! It was finally his turn and him and Dallas went and had a good time. It was so cute when he came home I didn't see him because there was a bunch of kids already at the door and then all of a sudden I hear Cohen say "mommy help me I stuck" because he couldn't get through the kids to come inside. I thought that was so cute! He was so fun all he wanted was a sucker so I'm glad he got one while he was out! I just love having him he makes the holidays so much more fun! Me and Dallas just love being parents and all the joy and laughter it brings. I can't wait until next year to have two little trick or treaters. I was bummed that Kenzley wasn't here to be apart of it and me and her were just stuck home sick and couldn't fit into any costumes! Better luck next year for us!

Here is sneak peak of some videos that we have been taking. We are trying to talk Cohen into wearing big boy underpants and he just hates the idea. He will run around covering himself just screaming and then he will go to his dresser and open his drawer and pull out his diaper begging to put that on instead. We have some adorable videos but I don't dare put them on the internet, since I don't know how to blur some parts out. We also have a video where he just rips off his diaper and throws in the air. He is such a funny kid. But here is an appropriate video that I feel can go on the blog.

Pumpkins!

Happy Halloween! We decided to carve pumpkins this year! Both me and Dallas probably haven't carved pumpkins for around 10 years! I was super excited and I was hoping that Cohen would be old enough to understand and have fun doing it this year! He loved picking out the pumpkins. He loves pumpkins he will point them out wherever he sees them. We started washing the pumpkins and he thought that was so much fun then we started taking all the goop out and he enjoyed that and I figured he would. However he started throwing it everywhere, needless to say we had quite the mess! When we started carving the pumpkins I think he was pretty much done. I decided it may be more of an adult activity but he loved the preparation part!

Here he is quite proud of his pumpkin! Mine is on the left, its a haunted house with bats flying above it. You can't quite see it too well but it turned out good! Dallas is next he did a vampire and then Cohen's is a happy face! We sure did have a fun time!

I decided to be crafty this week so Tuesday I went to Roberts and bought a bunch of stuff and came home and tried to put together everything that I had envisioned. For our enrichment activity coming up we are talking about doing the flowers and you put wire on it and it makes it darling. I went over to a girl in my ward to learn how to do it because I loved the flowers and the idea then it made me want to do the block letters. I wanted to do the for Cohen when he was born but I never had time to do it. So I am so glad I got it done this time, I just pray that her name doesn't change! Much thanks to Janelle and Norma in the ward for helping me and especially to Jaymie for watching Cohen while I learned and then she helped me all week long to do it. I couldn't have done it without her, it was nice to bounce our ideas off of eachother and I think it turned out really cute! Even Dallas got in on the event, He helped cut the paper our for one of the blocks and he was so cute, once he was done I was like well aren't you going to glue it on the wood and he was like no I'm done that wasn't even fun! I was laughing pretty hard. He did help aton with figuring out the wire and good tips to shape them easier and make them look good on the flower. He did one and it was perfect. When it comes to stuff like that he is such a perfectionist! Alot of people have been asking how to do it so a quick version and hopefully it makes sense. Just find some wood, I did 5 by 7, paint it and then get scrap book paper and mod podge it on. Then find your letters paint those as well and glue them on the block. Same thing with the flowers, paint, glue scrap book paper on and mod podge. Then find wire and just shape them into petals and hot glue them in the middle with the dot on top. Find ribbon and hang them!

Cohen is such a monkey. Every morning now that he is in his big boy bed he comes out into our bedroom and turns on the light and says Good morning then he comes up in bed and crawls all over Daddy. Lucky for me he doesn't crawl and jump all over me, I figure I have one inside doing that all day and night long, and lately she gets the hiccups almost every night. Needless to say I'm starting to not sleep very well. But it's so cute he will just start yelling in our faces daddy wake up mommy wake up. I have decided it is the best alarm clock ever! Here is a picture of him playing the drums on Daddy's head while he is trying to take a nap.
I am so going to miss the summer time and letting Cohen play outside. He is finally starting to understand alot of his outside toys such as baseball and he is getting so much better at his two wheeler bike! He also loves driving his four wheeler everywhere especially chasing the neighbors cat. I just feel so bad when he asks to go play outside and somedays it's so cold. It may be a long winter being cooped up inside because with a new baby and the cold I don't think we will be going many places.

Lake Powell Trip!

Well I finally made it to Lake Powell for my very first time and it is as beautiful as everyone says! We got down there Thursday evening and Dal wanted to take the boat out right then. It was just us three so he had to do it all since I can't drive his truck nor do I know how to drive a boat but he did it like a pro! We drove around antelope island and it was beautiful a little chilly but the water was warm and the scenery was great. The next day we went out with one of dallas' mission buddies and his family and we had a great day. The water is perfect, it was pretty much glass the entire day and fairly warm especially for October. The guys got out there and did their stuff and they did good! Bagely almost landed a back flip on the wake board so that was fun to watch! I stayed in the boat and played with the kids I wanted to get out and surf so bad but the only life jacket that fit me was an extra large and I was afraid it would go up over my head. That was a little depressing being so big but oh well better luck next summer! My brother got there that night so we just went to dinner then came back to the hotel which was a nightmare we had two rooms the night before and were suppose to have them the whole weekend so I go to take them to their room and the key doesn't work and some old guy with no shirt on answered the door talk about awkward. I was so mad and Dallas wasn't there cause he was towing a boat in from the lake, so I went down to get mad. And she was so rude just kept saying that we didn't have one and I was like obviously we did we used it last night and then she finally found the paper work and said that it had been checked out which we didn't finally she gave us another room but never once apologized I was so appalled. Talk about terrible customer service! Then to top it off the next day after boating our keys to our rooms didn't work. That hotel was such a nightmare. But back to the lake which was perfect! Saturday we went out and boated more and we even parked on a beach to let the kids play which they absolutely loved and wore them out. Cohen slept for almost two hours on the boat after that, which makes it relaxing for me. It was cute he would sleep on my belly like it was a pillow and Kenzley which just kick him and push so hard it made me laugh! Can't wait till she comes out so they can play! After that we went and looked and the dam which made me nervous it was so high up. Sunday we were all dressed and ready to go but it was really windy! So we just ended up coming home. All i all though it was an excellent vacation and look forward to many more trips down there! Thanks for everyone who came we had alot of fun and hope you did as well!
