I have gotten a hobby of looking at all sorts of blogs and doing Kenzley's hair in all sorts of hair styles. I have really gotten into it! I will be up for hours looking at hairstyles and then I practice on Kenzley for hours! We have it down to where she can have her binki and blankie while I do her hair and she will sit there and watch a movie. So she's happy and I'm happy cause she will sit forever and I have absolutely loved it! Even though she is a toddler and it doesn't always stay pretty all day it's still alot of fun to do! Here are just a couple of the hairsyles we have done! The first one is suppose to be a heart but I didn't shape it too good and then her hair is weaved in and out in the middle. The last one was the hairstyle I did for Easter I loved that it looked like a Easter basket. Who would have thought you could do so much with hair! It's also fun to see how much attention she gets when we go out in public, so many people her to tell her how cute she is! Kenzley loves to come in and take a shower with me and it always ends me taking a short shower and getting out so she can have a bubble bath. It is nice though because while I'm getting ready she's just right there playing in the bath! Is it sad that this is the only picture I have of my kids playing in the snow? We never got great snow down here and the one time we did we weren't home. Here she is playing in it so I ran in to get the camera and by time I came out she decided she didn't like it anymore so she came inside crying saying she hated the snow. I was laughing so hard. I got it recorded so there is a video of it below! For the Saturday before Easter me and the kids decided to stay home and do all of the easter egg hunts while Dallas went to the sand dunes. Usually every year we go to the sand dunes but Easter weekend is the busiest weekend down there so Cohen wouldn't even be able to ride his dirt bike around. And it's tough because I like the traditional holiday stuff but Dallas of course loves the dunes so we compromised and he did the morning hunt with us and went straight to the dunes. My friend invited us to the Spanish Fork hunt and then I had another friend who was doing a hunt in our neighborhood so I was excited to stay home and do them and then I thought me and the kids would color eggs so I had a busy day for us. It's funny though because the weather has been so great but then Thursday we got a snow storm down here where we got at least 4 inches. At our house though it had all melted so I didn't think there would be snow so I threw on my heels that are fast to put on and luckily I grabbed us all coats since it was so early I knew it would still be chilly but when we got there I wasn't prepared for a frozen tundra! My feet were ice it was so cold. Luckily after they blew the whistle it was all over within 20 seconds, so then we were back on our way! We did have fun with our friends and we got alot of coupons for free kids meal's to Chuck a Rama! After the hunt me and the kids came home and colored eggs. We had alot of fun. I got the kind you can dunk and then kind that they could use a paint brush and paint it on. That's the one I like because I felt it was more interactive for them. Kenzley loved painting her eggs and was so focused on it!
I had to get in one picture to say I was there!
The end result! Later on that day it warmed up quite a bit so it was way different then the morning we didn't even need our jackets on it was so nice out! My friend hosted a little egg hunt where you would hide 12 eggs per kid so I hid 24 eggs in my yard and then we went to 6 different yards and the kids could find the eggs. It was so much fun I hope we do that ever year since our ward hasn't been doing hunts anymore. Easter morning Cohen came straight out and saw everything before I even knew it so I felt bad because I like to come out first and record it. However he was so cute he ran in our bed and told us all about what he got and that the Easter Bunny had came then he ran into Kenzley's room to tell her all about it! So then she got excited and then they both came out to see what the Easter Bunny had brought! They came out and saw everything and looked for all there eggs then they saw some outside and went outside to get more of their eggs. It was a great day!
They had to put on their new jammies. Kenzley of course followed me into my shower and then she had to bring her sand toys and play with them in the bath tub. Silly girl! After church I had to hurry and get a picture of them in their Sunday best before they changed!
Love his face in this picture and love her hair! After church we went up to Grandma Jaymies house to have dinner and have another hunt. More treats for the kids they were wired all day!
Later that week the weather was so nice that our friend Camie invited us over to have a water party and we had so much fun. The kids had a blast playing with eachother in the water and I had a blast visiting with Camie! I am so glad I got to know her she and her kids are so much fun to hang out with!
Dallas and I met on June 25, 2006 and it was love at first sight. I had just moved to Branbury apartments in Provo where I was scared by a loud noise in the parking lot, and the maker of the loud noise that took me off guard was Dallas Jackman. We ended up talking late into the night about everything. It soon became history from there, we started hanging out everyday and I went along on Dallas' crazy adventures like the late nights to the dunes and the trips up AF canyon. We went to Disneyland short while later and that is where we fell in love. Aterwards we decided to tie the knot and we have had out happily ever after and continue to.
